Vertical KWL Chart Free Reading Printable

A Vertical KWL Chart more easily used by younger students, who will have room to draw pictures rather than write out information.

Use the KWL (Know-Want to Know-Learned) Chart to develop your child’s reading skills. This worksheet can be used with any of our Book Studies.

1. Choose a topic or lesson within your child’s book
2. Before reading, have your child share anything they know about the topic.
3. Before and throughout reading, have your child come up with what they want to learn about.
4. After reading, have your child answer their questions from step 3, plus add anything else they learned about the topic.
