Finding value in products or services to help with your homeschool is of the utmost importance to me. When making a recommendation, value will be one of my primary considerations. In practice, this means I am making an assessment that balances the quality, cost, and usefulness of a product or service. If two products offer similar quality and usefulness, I will recommend the cheaper option. If two products are the same cost, I will recommend that which offers better quality and usefulness.
Functionality
Functionality is a very important element that I consider in my reviews and recommendations. A product or service needs to do what it promises it will do and be useful to me and my readers. Part of this consideration is the quality and reliability of the product or service. If it lasts longer or is more durable, my opinion of it will improve.
Novelty/Entertainment
I love unique, interesting, and entertaining ideas. If a product or service can be useful in a homeschool and also provides entertainment and curiosity value, I am likely to rate it higher. However, this does not mean I will sacrifice functionality for the sake of entertainment.
